Yesterday was the MS MR studio session at Radio 104.5 Philadelphia, a very intimate performance at the studio in Bala Cynwyd. There were only ten of us in the audience, and we got seats right up against the stage. The studio is a really amazing way to experience music- it's extremely intimate without the awkwardness and self consciousness that usually accompanies a small audience. There was also a wall dedicated to My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy, which made me feel right at home.
It was a quick set, but it was extremely solid. Lizzy's vocal tone was great and the acoustics were incredible. There's something very strange about such a small show, but MS MR was able to make it seem like every audience member was the only person in the room.

After the show Lizzy and Max did a meet and greet with fans, and they were both super sweet. They took the time to have a real personal conversation with everyone who had come to the show, and remembered my friend Mike from when he had run into them in Manhattan. They're very real, unpretentious people who deserve all of the success in the world.
MS MR will be performing at Gov Ball this weekend, and their debut album Secondhand Rapture is out now.
